Like everyone, sixteen-year-old Kaya Weiss has a tracking chip that interfaces with her brain. But she’s also the glitch that threatens the network.
With a series of thoughts and blinks, Kaya can contact anyone and search for anything. But the authorities monitor everyone and everything on the network. Without the ability to turn off trackers, Kaya and her family are unable to fully observe their faith in Judaism.
When Kaya's tracker malfunctions the authorities will stop at nothing to fix the problem. And they aren't the only ones. The Ghosts intend to exploit her faulty tracker thus threatening to end the crime free environment the tracker technology provides. Questioning more than the system’s invasion into her family’s faith and privacy, Kaya's trapped between two worlds—one she thought she knew and one she never knew existed.
