The World Used to be Ours

Description

Carmen Reyes has always struggled to understand the world around her. Her entire adolescence has been consumed by thoughts and worries about her place in the universe, and the only way she's ever dealt with this anxiety is with her art.

Now in her senior year of high school, Carmen is only finding more things to lose her mind over. She overthinks everything from her after school program, to her siblings whom she never can seem to get along with, to how in the world she'll come out to her parents.

For years it's only been Carmen and her best friend Ophelia against the world, but when she meets Vaia; a girl with flowers in her hair and an unmatched addiction to books, her world starts to get all the more bigger.
