THE GIFT OF CARING

Description

A young mother of a Down syndrome child is a hard-working school teacher in a small American town. Her relatives live near and help her with the many things she has to take care of and when she meets the new tenant in the same apartment complex, her life changes for the better. He is a young policeman and soon becomes part of their small family. The child's biological father proves to be ineffectual and painfully distancing and this story illustrates the huge gift one receives when treating a Down syndrome child with respect and love.
