The Clutch

Description

Jill and her family move to Jackson, Georgia right before the start of her senior year. She intends to get through the year by herself and keep her little sister, Amy, out of trouble. Her plans come to a halt when her mother volunteers her to give the boy next door driving lessons. Jill quickly and unintentionally befriends Avery and Theo and starts to feel like Jackson is her new home. She struggles to maintain the same relationships she left in Virginia Beach while nurturing the new ones and trying to guide Amy. Small tiffs occur between Jill and Avery but nothing that Jill thinks come from malice, just ignorance. When her best friends from home, Emma and Maddy, come for a visit, his previously excusable actions come to a head and Jill must learn how to navigate her feelings while trying to still be a good friend, sister, and feminist.
