Sarcastic and audacious Charlie Grostner has a lot to deal with; she has ADHD, attends a boarding school for the problematic in New York City, and to top it all off, she was framed for something she didn't do. The last thing she needs is for new kid Striker to tell her that he may or may not have released fairytale characters from a book. Along with her friends, Charlie and Striker skip school to catch the characters. As the day goes on, Charlie realizes that the last thing she wants to do is go back to her "home life" at school, but gaining her freedom is going to be a lot harder than she thought.
