Morning Moon (The Negativus Trilogy, #1) Antonio Babliku

Description

Fifteen survivors in search of their freedom ...

The mystical, negative-energy-fed land of Negativus has been stripped of its magical force and as a result, the last bits of magic built a magical dome on the land before they vanished. Chaos ensued and people began killing each-other for power, for hatred and ... because most of them were driven mad.
Fifteen survivors remain in the midst of the ashes of destruction and they try to reach the ancient Blackened Court in order to break the dome and be set free. That is the only way these fifteen survivors can go out in the world and fulfill their dreams and hopes for their lives.
Eryla Maurvvyer is our heroine, she is bisexual and struggles with how her life has changed and how she has lost almost everything.

This is a book that I would call dystopic, sci-fi and high fantasy, all at once. The story was structured in a way that never made you put it down and it always had me on edge. The thrills were real, with plot twist after plot twist, and I am a big fan of plot twists. All in all, great job and a great book!

One of the best books I have read this year, and probably my entire life. Though the plot was super fast-paced, you could really enjoy the characters. I was intrigued by the idea of a bisexual love triangle, because you don't get much of those. The way that the book was structured was also very unique and fresh. It was a beautiful time spent with these characters and this setting (I think I am struggling to readapt to my life after reading this book almost in one sitting).

I liked the author's excellent technique of imagery and making the characters, settings, and conflict feel so real.

It is a work of its own. This book is what I would consider one of the best, and I have read a lot of books.
