Swoon Spotlight: Kathryn L — Odds and Ends

Welcome back to Swoon Spotlight! Our daily feature where we introduce you to a Swoon Reads staff member, who has volunteered their time, energy, and enthusiasm to the imprint–while still being amazing at their regular jobs! This week we have turned the spotlight on Kathryn L. Check back next week to meet Miriam M.!

What does your desk look like on any given day?

Horrifying. Papers everywhere, an uneaten apple rolling around underneath it all. There are boxes and papers stacked all over the place. It’s a disaster, but I can usually find anything I’m looking for.

I did not add that apple for effect.

What’s a book you wished you’d worked on?

I read a series when I was in high school by Katherine Applegate called Making Out. It was so complicated and there were SO MANY books. I think it would have been really fun to do a marketing campaign for something that extensive.

What piece of advice would you give your younger self?

Relax and slow down. But I give my current self the same advice every single day and it only kind of sticks.
