Swoon Author Alex Evansley: Book Title, Take Two

Let me real talk this out with y’all for a second… I am not good with titles.

(Like, I stressed out about what the title of this blog post was going to be.)

So it should come as no surprise that during the first year or so when I was writing Between Takes on and off again, the story remained title-less. When I finally did manage to come up with one, I figured it was broad enough and film jargon-y enough to pique some interest, particularly since I wanted to start posting it on the internet. So when I got an email from Swoon a few months ago asking if I’d be okay with brainstorming new titles, I knew I had my work cut out for me. I basically brain-hurricaned, only to confirm that yes, I am still awful with titles.

LUCKILY, all the amazing people up at Swoon Reads HQ are pretty baller with titles and swooped in to save the day. They came up with a new title that nods at the romance, the film industry, and the way the story is told—the three most important aspects of the story.

So without further ado, the new title for Teddy and Bennett’s story is…

Love Scene = the romance/film industry

Take Two = the dual POVs

Clever, right? :) Major shoutout to everyone up at Swoon who helped come up with this, because again, I couldn’t have done it on my own (maybe one day…? A girl can hope…)

So, yeah! I’m pumped for y’all to read the new and improved version of LSTT!!!

And as always, #ShardwellForever.

Come back tomorrow for cover voting!
