Meet the Author of SET IN STONE, Natalie Williamson!
What inspired you to write Set in Stone?
My parents (who have been split up since I was a baby) both happened to move when I was in college, and at first coming back to visit them in houses I’d never lived in was a lot harder for me than I thought it’d be. It was such a strange feeling, and the opening scene in the book, where Amber is on her bed in a house that doesn’t feel like hers, really borrows from that. I knew as soon as I wrote it that I needed to see where Amber’s story went, and the rest of the book came pretty naturally from there.
What is your favorite moment in the book?
The first kiss, for obvious reasons. I also love the first night Amber intentionally goes to Jordan’s house.
Do you have any “rules to live by” like Amber does in the book?
Make time for things that bring you joy. And there’s no such thing as too much chocolate.
Who would play your characters in a movie?
Amber – Adelaide Kane (circa her Teen Wolf days)
Jordan – Hunter Parrish (circa the late 2000s)
Cammie – Lili Reinhart
Hannah – Emily Rudd
What makes you swoon?
When my husband comes home with surprise KitKats. And when I hear him reading to our daughter in the next room.
