July YA Book Club: To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before

toalltheboysI can be picky about my contemporary romance, but I loved Jenny Han’s trilogy that began with The Summer I Turned Pretty (what’s not to love about a protagonist named Belly?). So I’ve been incredibly excited to pick up To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. And now I get to read it—with you!

Here’s the description (from Goodreads.com):

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is the story of Lara Jean, who has never openly admitted her crushes, but instead wrote each boy a letter about how she felt, sealed it, and hid it in a box under her bed. But one day Lara Jean discovers that somehow her secret box of letters has been mailed, causing all her crushes from her past to confront her about the letters: her first kiss, the boy from summer camp, even her sister’s ex-boyfriend, Josh. As she learns to deal with her past loves face to face, Lara Jean discovers that something good may come out of these letters after all.

This sounds like the perfect summer book to me, and just what I’ll want when I’m traveling for a wedding this weekend: a breezy read which will make all my feels go ZING. (I hope.) I always get a little weepy on wedding weekends, so I’ll probably tear up a bit, too, even if it’s just at a tender moment with the family dog or something.*

And I LOVE the cover on this book. So bright! So cheery-yet-thoughtful! So in keeping with her previous books but obviously something new! All good things.

Have you heard of this one? Will you be reading along? Do tell, just below in the comments. And come back on July 24th for the discussion.

*Note: I have no idea if there’s actually a dog in this story.
