And the winning cover for THE (BEST) WORST CASE SCENARIO is...

I am so happy to announce the winning cover for my upcoming novel The (Best) Worst Case Scenario.

And the winner is!

Rich D.’s Umbrella Cover!

RD TBWCS Umbrella

First of all, I love this cover.

Second of all, I love this cover so much I wrote a little haiku about it:

A walk in the rain,

Yellow umbrella, Sarah,

And her new fella.

As soon as I saw this cover I knew it was this little book’s destiny. I’m working on edits for The (Best) Worst Case Scenario and I actually added a little extra nod to this particular cover even before I knew it won. That’s how deep my devotion is for this cover design.

I think more than anything, what immediately drew me to this cover was knowing that Sarah would love this cover. This is the kind of book that would immediately draw Sarah’s attention in a bookstore. And that makes me happy, because I know there are a lot of people like Sarah out there who will find this book thanks to this cover.

We can’t help but judge books by their covers, we can’t change what draws our attention and what doesn’t. I know I can’t. So it’s always nice when a book I write gets a cover I adore. I have been very lucky during my career as an author.

I would like to thank Rich D. for his awesome design on this one and bringing such a special element to the story.  I can’t wait to see the yellow umbrella smiling at me from bookstore and library shelves next year.

A big thank you to everyone in the community who voted and left comments. Your support means the world to me.

And now I have to get back to edits if you’re going to have this book in your hands someday!
