Pete Jordi Wood is a writer & illustrator from Cornwall, UK. He is gay, has a disability, and lives in social housing with Pixel, his cat. Growing up as a young carer he also lived in the care of other families during periods his single-parent was hospitalised. He draws on lived experiences relating to Care Leavers ‘ageing out’, Young Carers, Sexuality & Mental Health in his writing. He writes stories about new adults who, like him, didn’t necessarily go to college after high school. His short story "I Don't Care" became a Channel 4 TV drama starring Iwan Rheon ("Game of Thrones") and Paloma Faith. He's since written for BBC “EastEnders" and is working on a screenplay adaptation of his debut novel, "The After Wards". 'Attitude' Magazine listed him in their 'Inspirational Brits' issue.
