Bio
I'm an environment educator, currently talking trees and trash with people. But in my heart I'm a writer, and have always loved writing. For ten years I wrote and edited questions, learning pieces, and e-learning courses for different educational companies (sorry kiddos, but it paid well - and it was great writing practice). But writing fiction is where my passion lies, and I'm always striving to improve my writing. I was selected for a week-long course (Writing with Style) at the Banff Centre in Alberta, Canada, and selected to take part in my local writer's guild's mentorship program, where I worked on The Dream Diary with children's author Alison Hughes (Orca Books).
Favorite Books
Here are some of my favourite authors: Janet Evanovich; Juliet Marillier; Robin McKinley - "The Blue Sword" is a favorite; Meredith Ann Pierce - Love "The Dark Angel" Series. I also really dig history books on the War of 1812 (General Isaac Brock was a stud. Trust me.)
