Bio

I write urban fantasy, and support my burgeoning career by working a job in the publishing industry. I love food, but not to the extent that the "foodie" label has become of late; I'll enjoy what I eat if my tastebuds approve, regardless of whether it was ethically, sustainably farmed/raised or not (who has that kind of income level, anyway?). I translate and review manga on occasion-- it helps me maintain my mediocre kanji skills, and have an unhealthy addiction to chocolate-covered bacon, genre fiction, and Japanese dramas.

Favorite Books

Sunshine - Robin McKinley
A Wizard of Earthsea - Ursula K LeGuin
Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? - Phillip K Dick
Angel's Blood - Nalini Singh
A Wrinkle in Time - Madeline L'Engle
Sabriel - Garth Nix

Favorite Quotes

Two from Eleanor Roosevelt:

“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.”
And:
“Once I had a rose named after me and I was very flattered. But I was not pleased to read the description in the catalogue: "No good in a bed, but fine up against a wall.”
