Elisa was born and raised in the Philippines, after which she moved to the United States to study chemistry and later oceanography. The resulting culture shock inspired her to write a ton of stories about traveling, among other things. After completing her doctorate degree, she moved to Germany to work as a postdoctoral scientist. While she loves writing novel-length fiction, she has also written short stories and non-fiction articles to teach science to the general public. She dabbled in video game writing, and although none of the projects she has written for were ever completed, she enjoyed the experience immensely. She currently lives in Germany with her boyfriend and dachshund.
Too many! Fantasy is my favorite genre, but I'll read anything. THE NIGHT CIRCUS by Erin Morgenstern was amazing and I still think about that book years after reading it. I've also read every novel and novella Brandon Sanderson has written, but my absolute favorite is the STORMLIGHT ARCHIVE series.
