I've been telling stories for as long as I can remember. As a student, it was how I remembered my facts. As a camp counselor, it was how I got the girls to do their chores. As a teacher, it is my greatest joy to push my students to dig deep inside of themselves to find the stories they need to tell.
I am a member of the Houston Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators and have had the luck to attend more than a few conferences. I was even nominated for our regional mentorship award this last year!
My fondest wish will be to finally see one of my manuscripts in print with my name on it in the book store.

"Be proud of your place in the cosmos. It is small, and yet it is." (WTNV)
"Almost all good writing begins with terrible first efforts." (Anne Lamott)
"Though she be but little, she is fierce." (Shakespeare)
